How do I know what's my link broadband?
At our billing portal you can find the broadband of your link beside it's name:
Example:
- ADSL 30 MBps ( Copper Link).
- GPON 200 MBps (Fiber Link).
- Dedicated link 10 MBps.
- lINK 200 MBps Symmetrical (Download and upload at the same speed).
When do I need to increase my link broadband?
If you experience sudden drops in speed or the Internet speed is much lower than advertised by your provider, it is very likely that something is limiting the bandwidth of your connection. While it's hard to know what precisely is affecting your bandwidth at any given time, there are generally 3 main factors that can negatively impact your bandwidth:
• The Wi-Fi router (Equipment failure).
• Internet service provider (most of us assume this is the only reason, which turns out to be true in only a small portion of cases).
• The hardware device (whether it's your laptop, tablet, computer, cell phone, or game console).
Before reviewing each of the components that would make your internet very slow, be sure to perform a speed test. If you are constantly consuming the your link's broadband total, which causes slowness in your internet browsing.
If you are experimenting slowness but not constantly, the reason might be one of the link users consuming most of the broadband.
How can I increase the broadband on my link?
To increase the broadband it's important to check if you have an appropriate infrastructure that can hold the increase.
Next we list some frequent cases and what needs to be done for each of them in order to increase the broadband on a link for it to work properly.
- Telmex link on Copper:
Has a max capability of 10 Mbps broadband.
What we do:
Request Telmex to change the link's delivery to Optic Fiber where we can get a max of 200 Mbps broadband.
- Carrier without Infrastructure
In some cases there is no carrier with infrastructure in the area to deliver their services on copper or to increase the broadband.
What we do:
We search for a way to install a new link with other carrier that does have the infrastructure in the zome.
Network equipment without necessary capability
There are special equipments meant to help deliver the internet service to your network equipments. Sometimes these do not have the necessary capability to support the broadband increase or are maxed out with their current service's broadband.
What we do:
We help determine which equipment is needed.
Price and instal the equipment so you have a network ready to receive a wider broadband.
How much will the increase of my link's broadband will cost?
Costs vary, depending on the following:
- The desired broadband
- The link type you currently have.
- Internet carrier
