What is a DNS?
DNS (Domain Name System) it's a preconfigured system on routers or modems used to provide internet services.
What is a DNS for?
A DNS helps us when we are browsing into the internet since the principal function is translate the name of an internet domain into an IP address.
This means that when you write on a domain example: “playtelecom.com” a DNS will automatically help you to fond the IP address to complete the connexion to the server with the data for that web page.
If you have an Internet Service Provider you don't have to worry about a DNS since you will have it as part of your service , however there are open DNS that you can use on your computer if you don't want to use those provided with your ISP.
Differences between DNS
The main difference between DNS is the blockings they may have since some of them would not solve the domains correctly due to a regional block or they just don't have the correct translation.
Other principal difference to look for when getting a DNS is its translation speed, you can try this at the moment a specific web page loads.
